What Inseam for 5'1" (155cm)?
At Petite Pyjamas, we offer three inseam lengths — 29", 27", and 25" — all designed for women 5'4" and under. If you're 5'1", the right inseam for pyjama bottoms is 27" or 25", depending on your body proportions and the fit you prefer.
· 27" — the ideal length for most women at 5'1", sitting above floor length
· 25" — suits women with a shorter inside leg or those who prefer a cropped fit

Why standard pyjama bottoms don't fit at 5'1"
Most pyjama bottoms are made with a 31" inseam — designed for a 5'7" frame. At 5'1", that's four extra inches of fabric with nowhere to go. The hem drags, the legs bunch at the hem, and no matter how many times you roll them up, they never quite look right.
Our petite pyjama bottoms are cut with a shorter inseam as standard — so they fit from the first wear, without any rolling up or alterations.

FAQs
Can I wear a 29" inseam if I'm 5'1"?
You can, but it will likely sit on the floor or bunch heavily. A 27" inseam is designed for your height and will give a much cleaner fit.
Is 27" the same as Extra Short?
Yes — our 27" inseam is labelled Extra Short and is designed for heights 4'11"–5'1" (150–155cm).
Should I measure my inseam or go by height?
Height is a good starting point but inside leg measurement is more accurate. Two women at the same height can have different leg lengths. See our Size & Length Guide for how to measure in under a minute.
Will they shrink after washing?
Our cotton pyjama bottoms may shrink by approximately 0.5"–1" after the first wash. To minimise shrinkage, wash at 30°C and air dry.
