What Inseam for 5'4" (163cm)?
At Petite Pyjamas, we offer three inseam lengths - 29", 27", and 25" - all designed for women 5'4" and under. If you're 5'4", the right inseam for pyjama bottoms is 29 inch (74cm), depending on your body proportions and the fit you prefer.

Why standard pyjama bottoms don't fit at 5'4"
Most pyjama bottoms are made with a 31" inseam - designed for a 5'7" frame. At 5'4", that's two extra inches of fabric with nowhere to go. The hem drags, the legs bunch, and no matter how many times you roll them up, they never quite look right.
Our petite pyjama bottoms are cut with a shorter inseam as standard - so they fit from the first wear, without any rolling up or alterations.

Is 29 inch the right length if I'm 5'4"(163cm)?
Yes - 29 inch is designed for women between 5'2" and 5'4".
I'm exactly 5'4" - am I petite?
5'4" is the upper end of petite and our short inseams are designed for you. Standard 31" inseams will almost always be too long at this height.
Should I measure my inseam or go by height?
Height is a good starting point but inside leg measurement is more accurate. Two women at the same height can have different leg lengths. See our Size & Length Guide for how to measure in under a minute.
Will they shrink after washing?
Our cotton pyjama bottoms may shrink by approximately 0.5 to 1 inch after the first wash. To minimise shrinkage, wash at 30°C and air dry.
